Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange’s main Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) closed Tuesday 1.02% or 72.73 points lower reaching 7,041.28 points.
TASI’s trading volume stood at 117 million shares on Tuesday, against 116.2 million shares on Monday, whereas liquidity fell to SAR 2.54 billion ($676.53 million), from SAR 2.9 billion ($772.27 million).
The consumer services sector declined 3.04%, followed by banks with 1.61%, and materials with 0.38%.
On the other hand, the telecommunication services sector increased 0.24%.
Bank AlJazira’s stock retreated 10%, closing at SAR 12.26, whereas Walaa Cooperative Insurance Company’s stock was TASI's best performer with 1.74% to reach SAR 28.60.
In the meantime, the benchmark index of Nomu-Parallel Market, NOMU slipped 0.03% or 0.87 points to reach 3,175.77 points.
Abo Moati for Bookstores’ stock led Nomu’s losers with 1.05%, closing at SAR 11.28, whereas Thob Al-Aseel Company’s stock went up 0.61% to SAR 66.50.
