TASI, Nomu end Wednesday in green

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) closed Wednesday 0.14% or 10.23 points higher to reach 7,263.75 points, registering its highest level since 17 July 2017.

The Tadawul All Share Index’s (TASI) trading volume stood at 143.26 million shares on Wednesday, against 120.15 million shares on Tuesday, while traded value increased to SAR 3.23 billion from SAR 2.72 billion.

The media sector rose 1.8%, followed by the banks with 1.1%, and REITs with 0.8%.

On the flipside, the food and staples retailing, pharmaceuticals, materials, and telecommunication services sectors decreased 1.1%, 1%, 0.3%, and 0.2%, respectively.

Saudi Enaya Cooperative Insurance’s stock led TASI’s risers with 7.6%, whereas Fawaz Abdulaziz Al Hokair Co’s stock was the wrorst performer with 4.20%.

Al Inma Bank’s stock, closing at SAR 16.9, led in terms of trading volume after 27.28 million shares were exchanged, with a liquidity of SAR 457.19 million.

In the meantime, the main index (NOMU) of the Nomu-Parallel Market levelled up 0.29% or 10.16 points reaching 3,518.40 points, hitting its highest level since ten trading sessions.

Nomu’s traded volume went down 64,100 shares on Wednesday, from 68,530 shares on Tuesday, whereas liquidity reached SAR 1.88 million, against SAR 1.1 million.

Abo Moati for Bookstores’ stock, up 2%, closed at SAR 12.20, whereas Al-Omran Industrial Trading’s stock fell 1.2% to SAR 18.22.

Thob Al-Aseel Company’s stock led Nomu’s trading value with a turnover of SAR 1.14 million, while Abo Moati for Bookstores’ stock was the most active in terms of traded volume after 29,690 shares were exchanged.
