Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange’s (Tadawul) benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) closed Wednesday’s trading session with a positive performance for the third session in a raw.
TASI rose by 51.08 points, or 0.58%, to finish the session at 8,905.57 points.
TASI’s turnover levelled up to SAR 2.95 billion on Wednesday, compared to SAR 2.88 billion in the previous session, while the market’s traded volume increased to 121.12 million shares from 116.16 million the session before.
The food and staples retailing sector headed the bourse’s risers with 1.89%, followed the banking and telecommunication sectors with 0.97% and 0.29%, respectively.
On the negative side, the energy sector topped the decliners and fell 1%, followed by the material sector with 0.06%.
Meanwhile, NOMU, the main index of the Nomu secondary market, went up 51.39 points, or 1.37%, to end the session at 3,800 points.
