Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange’s (Tadawul) benchmark and parallel market indices concluded the week ended Thursday, 15 June on a negative note.
The Tadawul All-Share Index (TASI) fell 0.65% or 44.67 points and closed the week at 6,820.81 points.
Tadawul’s market capitalisation fell by SAR 5.8 billion ($1.5 billion) to SAR 1.618 trillion ($431 billion) from SAR 1.624 trillion ($433 billion) last week.
As for the main index’s sectors, 16 were down led by media and publishing with 5.8% and capital goods with 5.3%, whereas 4 were up led by public utilities by 1.28%.
The market’s main sectors saw varying performance with banks adding 0.5% and materials and telecoms falling 1.16% and 1.09%, respectively.
Turnover on Tadawul amounted to SAR 10.7 billion ($2.8 billion) this week down 32.14% from SAR 15.8 billion ($4.2 billion) last week, while traded volume slid 91.06% to 101 million shares from 1.1 billion shares.
Meanwhile, the parallel market “Nomu” index shed 1.8% or 72.75 points to close at 3,975.3 points. Turnover on the secondary market amounted to SAR 17.3 million after 460,000 shares changed hands versus SAR 12.9 million and 559,000 shares last week.
