TASI, Nomu open Monday in red

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) started Monday down after its main Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) retreated 0.26% or 19.6 points to 7,588.7 points.

By 10:35 am KSA time, TASI’s trading volume reached 43.76 million shares, through 20,520 transactions, with a liquidity of SAR 745.45 million.

The retailing, banks, materials, and telecommunication services sectors decreased 1.14%, 0.36%, 0.36%, and 0.16%, respectively.

On the other hand, the energy sector rose 1.5% and pharmaceuticals inched up 0.66%.

The Mediterranean and Gulf Insurance and Reinsurance Group’s (Medgulf) stock tumbled 9.3% to SAR 20.28, whereas Rabigh Refining and Petrochemical’s (Petro Rabigh) stock gained 5.74% to SAR 21.14.

Meanwhile, NOMU, the benchmark index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, fell 0.29% or 8 points, reaching 3,053.93 points.

Baazeem Trading’s stock was Nomu’s top decliner falling 2.96% to SAR 26.75, whereas the stock of Al-Samaani Factory for Metal Industries jumped 12.09% to SAR 68.60.
