TASI, Nomu open Thursday in green

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) started Thursday hihger after its main Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) increased 0.5% or 36.91 points to 7,908.58 points.

By 10:49 am Saudi time, TASI’s trading volume hit 48.75 million shares, through 25,500 transactions, with a liquidity of SAR 1.15 billion.

The media and healthcare sectors rose 1.1% each, followed by food and beverages with 1%, materials with 0.7%, and banks with 0.5%.

On the other hand, the telecommunication services sector shed 0.34%, while diversified financials edged down 0.3%.

Alamiya for Cooperative Insurance Company’s stock led the bourse's gainers with 3%, whereas Saudi Cement Co’s stock fell 1.2%.

Meanwhile, the benchmark index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, NOMU, grew 0.1% or three points, reaching 2,882.15 points.

Al-Kathiri Holding Company’s stock was the best performer on NOMU with 1.3%, whereas Al-Samaani Factory for Metal Industries’ stock declined 2.1%.
