TASI, Nomu open in green after Eid holiday

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange's Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) and the main index (NOMU) of the Nomu-Parallel Market showed a positive performance in Wednesday's early trades.

By 10:37 am KSA time in the first session after the Eid Al Adha holiday, TASI increased 0.52% or 37.68 points to 7,296.32 points, after trading 14.74 million shares through 10,410 transactions, at a total value of SAR 332.2 million.

The food and staples retailing sector led gainers with 1.3%, followed by the media and consumer services sectors with 1.12% and 1.1%, respectively.

The leading banks, materials, and telecommunications sectors also rose 0.8%, 0.4%, and 0.35%, respectively.

Nama Chemicals led the winning stocks with a 3.95% rise, while Makkah Construction led losers with a 1.3% decline.

The Nomu-Parallel Market increased 0.88% or 30.68 points to 3,508.85 points.

Thob Alaseel and Raydan rose 3.4% and 2.5%, respectively, while Development Works Food and Abo Moati dropped 0.6% and 0.1%, respectively.

TASI and NOMU had closed the last session before the Eid Al Adha holiday in red.
