Riyadh- Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) started Wednesday in the green after its benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) rose 0.8%, or 58 points, to 7,524.34 points.
By 11:09 am KSA time, TASI’s trading volume amounted to 52.02 million shares, at a turnover of SAR 1.13 billion through 29,200 transactions.
The media sector topped the market’s gainers with 3.9%, followed by the retailing and energy sectors, which levelled up 2.5% and 2.1%, respectively.
The telecommunication services, banking and materials sectors went up 0.9%, 0.7% and 0.4%, respectively.
Malath Insurance’s stock topped the market’s risers adding 5.1%, while Al Yamamah Steel’s stock topped the bourse’s losers after falling 4.9%.
Meanwhile, NOMU, the benchmark index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, inched down 1.1%, or 4 points, to 3,030.23 points.
Al Kathiri's stock was NOMU's sole decliner with 6.3%, while Arab Sea’s stock spearheaded three risers after adding 1.5%.
