TASI, Nomu start Wednesday in green

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange’s Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) gained 48.45 points, or 0.6%, to 7,848.22 points in Wednesday’s early trades.

By 10:49 am KSA time, TASI’s traded volume hit 71.28 million shares changed hands through 29,600 transactions, with a turnover of SAR 1.32 billion.

The media sector increased 1.4%, followed by real estate management and development with 1.3%.

The retailing, banks, materials and telecommunication services segments added 0.9%, 0.8%, 0.6%, 0.1%, respectively. 

On the negative side, the pharmaceuticals sector lost 0.15%, while real estate investment traded funds (REITs) shed 0.16%.

Al Sorayai Trading and Industrial Group’s stock led gainers with 5.5%, whereas Saudi Cable Co.’s stock fell 1.9%.

Meanwhile, NOMU, the benchmark index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, levelled up 33.4 points, or 1.2%, to 2,928.30 points.

Thob Al-Aseel Company’s stock inched up 0.6%, whereas the stock of Baazeem Trading decreased 1.2%.
