Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) rose on Thursday, marking its seventh successive growth, while the NOMU-Parallel Market index (NOMU) tumbled.
The Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) grew 0.46% or 31.93 points to 7,003.97 points.
NOMU dropped 2.18% or 65.43 points to 2,933.92 points.
TASI’s trading volume decreased to 168.96 million shares from 197 million on Wednesday, while the main market’s turnover declined to SAR 3.3 billion ($877.87 million), compared to SAR 3.75 billion ($999.47 million) in the previous session.
Most of Tadawul’s sectors gained on Thursday, led by the real estate management and development sector, which added 1.61%, while the materials and banks sectors increased by 0.53% and 0.18%, respectively.
On the other hand, there were only three losers among the market’s sectors, topped by commercial and professional sector, shedding 0.25%, while the telecommunication sector inched down 0.04%.
As for stocks, a total of 124 of TASI’s stocks levelled up, on top of which Makkah Construction and Development, rising 8.68% to SAR 80.5, respectively.
On the other hand, a number of 46 of TASI’s stocks lost, led by Southern Province Cement Company, sinking 2.53% to SAR 42.7.
Al-Samaani Factory for Metal Industries led NOMU’s losers, falling 7.72% to SAR 51.5, while Al Kathiri Holding jumped 11.26% to SAR 17.
