Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange’s (Tadawul) benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) closed Thursday’s trading session with positive performance, for the third session in a row, supported by the growth of the banking sector.
TASI rose by 109.53 points, or 1.26%, ending the last session of the week at 8,796.61 points.
TASI’s turnover shrank to SAR 2.73 billion on Thursday, compared to SAR 4.88 billion on Wednesday, while the main market’s traded volume decreased to 100.53 million shares from 177.39 million the session before.
By the end of the session, the banking sector topped the gainers and added 2.06%, followed by the insurance and media sectors with 1.7% and 1.6%, respectively.
On the negative side, the software and services sector headed the losers with 1.9%.
Meanwhile, NOMU, the main index of the Nomu secondary market, went up 68.17 points, or 1.9%, to finish the session at 3,634.17 points.
