TASI adds 41 pts, Nomu jumps at Sunday’s close

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) closed Sunday up after its benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) jumped 0.56%, or 40.59 points, to 7,317.65 points, registering its highest level in more than three months or since 21 September 2017.

TASI’s trading volume stood at 178.79 million shares on Sunday, against 228.5 million shares on Thursday, while liquidity decreased to SAR 3.38 billion, from SAR 4.05 billion.

The retailing sector rose 2%, followed by utilities with 1.6%, the transportation with 1.55%, banks with 0.8%, the telecommunication services with 0.2%, and the materials with 0.2%.

On the flipside, the pharmaceuticals sector inched down 0.3%, while the insurance shed 0.1%.

Alujain Corp.’s was TASI’s best performer with 4.6%, whereas Saudi Kayan Petrochemical Company’s stock tumbled 2.1%.

Dar Al Arkan Real Estate Development’s stock topped the bourse in terms of traded volume after 55.54 million shares were exchanged, generating SAR 616.63 million.

In the meantime, NOMU, the main index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, surged 3.4%, or 105.32 points, closing at 3,172.12 points.

Nomu’s trading volume amounted to 82,580 shares on Sunday, against 106,420 shares on Thursday, while liquidity fell to SAR 1.73 million, from SAR 2.17 million.

The stocks of Al-Samaani Factory for Metal Industries and Thob Al-Aseel Company went up 4.6% and 3.7%, respectively, whereas Abo Moati for Bookstores’ stock declined 4% and Raydan Co’s stock dropped 2.8%.

Raydan Co’s stock acquired Nomu in terms of traded volume after 32,610 shares were exchanged, with a turnover of SAR 538,140.
