Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) started Monday in the green after its main Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) went up 47 points, or 0.6%, to 7,980.2 points.
By 10:45 am Saudi time, TASI’s trading volume reached 20 million shares exchanged through 18,780 transactions at a turnover of SAR 532.24 million.
The food and beverages sector rose 1.61%, followed by the food and staples retailing sector with 1.05%.
The banking, materials and telecommunication services sectors inched up 0.72%, 0.64%, and 0.24%, respectively.
On the other hand, the diversified financials sector shed 0.3%, while the transportation sector fell 0.24%.
Buruj Cooperative Insurance Co’s stock led gainers after jumping 7.7%, while Saudi Advanced Industries Co.’s (SAIC) stock led losers with 1.73%.
Meanwhile, NOMU, the benchmark index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, fell 13 points, or 0.51%, to 2,535.58 points.
Al-Samaani Factory for Metal Industries’ stock led losers with 2.69%, while the stock of Al-Kathiri Holding Company led gainers with 9.62%.
