TASI adds 51 pts early Sunday; Nomu unchanged

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) opened Sunday in the green, after its benchmark the Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) rose, whereas the Nomu parallel market index remained stable.

By 10:40 am Saudi time, TASI gained 0.62% or 50.80 points and reached 8,260.96 points. Turnover amounted to SAR 469.96 million after 20.68 million shares were exchanged through 18,740 transactions.

In the meantime, 13 sectors traded higher led by food production with 1.6%, while consumer services and media added 1.4% and 1.2%, respectively.

As for the leading sectors, the banking sector grew 1%, while materials and telecoms edged up 0.03% and 0.01%, respectively.

On the negative side, six sectors fell, led by insurance with 0.23%.

Saudi Cables’ stock led gainers, adding 3.6%, while Enaya Cooperative Insurance’s stock led losers, sliding 9.9%.

In the meantime, the Nomu parallel market index “NOMU” remained stable.
