TASI closes 0.77% lower, hits 1.5-month low

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) ended Thursday’s session falling by 0.77% or 54 points to the level of 6,916.84 points, its lowest level since 22 January.

Turnover increased to SAR 4.27 billion from SAR 3.2 billion on Wednesday, as trading volume also rose to 215.57 million shares from 149.4 million shares.

Eighteen sectors closed in red topped by the consumer services sector (-3.4%), the media sector (-2.7%), and the transportation sector (-2.6%).

The material sector fell 1.1%, the banks sector declined 0.34%, and the telecom sector shrank 0.31%.

On the other hand, the real estate and REITs sectors rose 1.8% and 0.9%, respectively.

Solidarity topped the red list after falling 5.4%, followed by Buruj Cooperative Insurance (-4.8%) and Saudi Industrial Export (-4.79%).

SABIC dropped 1.18%, Zain slid 1.6%, and STC retreated 0.38%.

On the other hand, Jabal Omar topped gainers after adding 3%.

TASI declined on Wednesday by 0.32% or 22.3 points to the level of 6,970.8 points.
