TASI closes Monday at highest level in 4M

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) ended Monday’s trading session in the green zone, maintaining its rising trend for the second consecutive day.

The Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) surged by 1.11% to close at 8,138.99 points, reaching its highest level since 22 August.

Traded volumes increased today to 234.28 million shares, up from 194.84 million shares on Sunday, with values rising to SAR 6.88 billion, compared with SAR 5.7 billion yesterday.

Saudi Aramco continued to be the most actively traded stock, dominating around 50% of the market liquidity with a turnover of SAR 3.31 billion, with 87.58 million traded shares, and closing SAR 38, gaining 1.6%.

Metlife led the rising stocks, as it surged by 9.99%, followed by Bawan and ANB with 4.58% and 3.26%, respectively.

On the other hand, Shaker was the top losing stock as it dropped 4.82%, followed by SAPRCO with 1.87%.

Most of the market sectors ended the session in gains, led by the energy sector that rise by 1.8%, followed by banks and materials that added 1.54% and 0.9%, respectively.

On the other hand, utilities and commercial services indices declined by 0.29% and 0.14%.

Meanwhile, the Nomu Parallel Market dropped 1.25% and closed at 6,972.83 points.
