Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) ended Sunday’s trading in decline, for the third consecutive session, reaching its lowest level in 46 sessions.
The Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) dropped 1.25% or 100.57 points, and closed at 7,952.52 points, giving up the 8,000-point level.
This is the lowest closing level for the benchmark index since 5 December 2019.
Traded volumes amounted to 152.18 million shares with a turnover of SAR 3.9 billion.
At the closing bell, 161 stocks ended the session in red, led by Hail Cement that declined by 5.58%, while FIPCO was the top gainer among 30 rising stocks and added 6.6%.
Saudi Aramco returned to leading the trading charts as the most actively traded stock with 17.7 million shares and the highest turnover of SAR 589.6 million.
As for the market sectors, materials plunged by 2.04%, while banks and telecom went down by 1.72% and 1.20%, respectively.
On the other hand, the energy sector index increased by 1.39%.
The parallel market index (NOMU) rose by 0.35% and closed at 6,970.91 points.
