TASI closes Sunday on marginal decline

Riyadh - Mubasher: The benchmark index of the Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) closed Sunday’s trading on a marginal loss, impacted by the banks and energy sectors losses.

Today, Saudi Arabia announced the planned lifting of the curfew that was imposed as a preventive measurement against the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.

The Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) settled lower by 0.13% or 9.78 points to reach 7,346.88 points.

A total of 255 million shares were traded at a turnover of SAR 4.8 billion via 251,615 transactions.   

Abdulmohsen Alhokair Group for Tourism and Development Company led the green zone with 9.97%, whereas the Allied Cooperative Insurance Group (ACIG) headed the red zone with 9.76%. 

Dar Alarkan Real Estate led the trading activity on all levels through the exchange of 34.86 million shares at SAR 252.18 million.

The energy and the banks sectors went down by 0.29% and 0.23%, respectively. 

The basic materials and the telecommunication services sectors increased by 0.30% and 0.24%, respectively.
