TASI closes Sunday on marginal gains

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) ended the week’s first trading session on marginal gains, with a noticeable decline in liquidity amidst the launch of the highly-anticipated initial public offering (IPO) of Saudi Aramco.

The Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) rose by 0.05% or 3.76 points, to close at 7,927.95 points.

Traded volumes reached 76.36 million shares, compared with 119.66 million shares on Thursday.

Meanwhile, traded volumes declined to SAR 1.86 billion from SAR 3.126 billion in the previous session, recording the lowest liquidity since 22 September.

At the end of the session, 49 stocks closed in the green zone, led by Saudi Industrial Services, National Gypsum, and Saudi Paper Manufacturing with gains of 4.62%, 4.54%, and 2.89%, respectively.

On the other hand, 131 stock closed in losses, with Al Kathiri Holding leading decliners by dropping 9.87%, followed by Al Aseel with 6.95%.

Al Rajhi Bank led trading values with a turnover of SAR 344.147 million, while Alinma registered the highest volume with 9.25 million shares.

Most of the market sector indices closed in red, as media and telecom fell by 1.07% and 0.89%, respectively.

After more than three years of anticipation, the Aramco IPO began today and will continue until Wednesday 4 December.

The Saudi oil giant announced a price range of its stock between SAR 30 and SAR 32 per share.
