TASI closes Wednesday in red, Nomu adds 63 pts

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange's Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) ended Wednesday 0.58% or 41.07 points lower, reaching 7,026.06 points.

TASI’s trading volume stood at 232.66 million shares on Wednesday, against 214.5 million shares on Tuesday, while liquidity increased to SAR 3.78 billion ($1.01 billion), from SAR 3.48 billion ($928.27 million).

Food and beverages sector decreased 1.58%, followed by insurance with 1.53%, materials with 1.09%, banks with 0.57%, and telecommunication services with 0.43%.

On the other hand, the real estate management and development sector went up 1.75%, and consumer durables and apparel inched up 0.18%.

National Industrialization Company’s (Tasnee) stock declined 8.10% to SAR 14.06, whereas Dar Al Arkan Real Estate Development’s stock jumped 9.34%, reaching SAR 11.94.

Dar Al Arkan Real Estate Development’s stock was the most active in terms of trading volume after 64.6 million shares were exchanged, generating SAR 742.6 million.

In the meantime, NOMU, the benchmark index of the Nomu-Parallel Market surged 2.04% or 62.57 points to 3,129 points, registering its fourth consecutive growth.

Thob Al-Aseel Company’s stock, up 2.49%, led Nomu in terms of traded value.

On the flipside, Arab Sea Information System’s stock tumbled 2.91%, reaching SAR 10 to lead in terms of trading volume.
