TASI closes in red 5th day in row, NOMU hits all time low

Riyadh - Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (TASI) ended Sunday’s trading on a decline, for the fifth consecutive session, while the Nomu-Parallel Marker continued plummeting to its lowest level ever.

The Tadawul All Shares Index (TASI) dropped 1.3%, losing 88.33 points, and closed at the level of 6,783.39 points.

Traded values reached SAR 1.73 billion ($461 million) compared to SAR 2.59 billion ($691 million) on the previous session, and volumes also decreased to 94.4 million shares down from 142.55 million shares on Thursday.

As for the sectors performance, REITs fell 5.1%, followed by capital goods with 4.3%, and consumer durables with 3.7%.

Major sectors were also part of the group decline, as telecom, materials, and banks lost 2.3%, 1.7%, and 0.6% respectively.

As for the stocks’ performance, Nama Chemicals led the decliners as it dropped 9.88%, while Anaam International Group Holding led the six rising stocks, gaining 3.4%.

Meanwhile, the NOMU index lost 1% or 41.09 points, and closed at 4,053.7 points, its lowest level since trade began on the parallel market in February.

Traded volumes amounted to 54,790 down from 115,500 on Thursday, with turnovers reached SAR 995,660 compared to SAR2.54 million at the close of last session.
