TASI crosses 7,000-point level, NOMU hikes 2.3%

Ryiadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) ended Thursday in green, supported by the positive performance in major sectors.

Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) rose 1% or 69.48 points to 7,011.26 points.

Traded value grew marginally to SAR 2.76 billion ($736.53 million) from SAR 2.5 billion ($668.27 million).

Trading volume also rose to 156.24 million shares from 122 million shares.

The utilities sector topped the gainers with 1.86%, followed by the banks, the materials, and the telecommunications with 1.83%, 0.8%, and 0.04%, respectively.

On the other hand, the insurance sector led the losers, with 0.72%, followed by the media with 0.71%.

As for stocks, 98 shares grew, led by Riyad Bank with a 6.16% rise to SAR 11.72, while Malath Insurance led the 68 losers, with a 6.85% drop to SAR 15.5.

On another note, the benchmark index (NOMU) of the Nomu-Parallel Market hiked 2.27% or 66.91 points, closing at the level of 3,017.45 points.

As for NOMU stocks, Development Works Food topped the gainers, with 8.94% to SAR 67, while Arab Sea led the losers with 6.05% to SAR 11.02.
