TASI declines, Nomu slips at Monday’s open

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) started Monday in the red after its benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) retreated 0.6%, or 43.72 points, reaching 7,182.60 points.

By 10:59 am KSA time, TASI’s trading volume hit 46.77 million shares, through 25,780 transactions, with a liquidity of SAR 862.09 million.

The real estate management and development sector declined 1.7%, followed by consumer services with 0.9%, materials with 0.75%, telecommunication services with 0.6%, and banks with 0.3%.

On the other hand, the media sector rose 1%, whereas the pharmaceuticals sector remained unchanged.

Dar Al Arkan Real Estate Development’s stock fell 3.8%, whereas Tabuk Agriculture Development Company’s (TADCO) stock increased 2%.

Meanwhile, the main index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, NOMU, inched down 0.05%, or 1.65 points, to 3,138.36 points.

Stocks of Baazeem Trading and Al-Samaani Factory for Metal Industries tumbled 2.9% and 2.4%, respectively, whereas Raydan Co’s stock gained 4.7% and Development Works Food’s stock edged up 0.2%.
