TASI declines 21 pts, Nomu goes up 35 pts at Sunday’s close

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) closed Sunday in the red zone after its benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) retreated 0.31% or 21.29 points, reaching 6,933.69 points.

TASI’s trading volume stood at 180.28 million shares on Sunday, against 206.73 million shares on Thursday, while liquidity decreased to SAR 3.38 billion, from SAR 3.67 billion.

The media sector fell 3.1%, followed by the consumer services with 2.6%, materials with 0.3%, and banks with 0.2%.

On the other hand, the diversified financial sector rose 3.1%, while the telecommunication services sector remained unchanged.

Saudi Industrial Export Company’s (SIEC) stock tumbled 9.95%, whereas Middle East Specialized Cables’ (MESC) stock went up 7.6%.

Dar Al Arkan Real Estate Development’s stock was the most active in terms of trading volume after 59.74 million shares were exchanged, generating SAR 564.14 million.

In the meantime, NOMU, the main index of the Nomu-Parallel Market surged 1.2% or 34.88 points to reach 3,007.95 points.

Nomu saw trading of 119,990 shares on Sunday, against 130,600 shares on Thursday, whereas liquidity grew to SAR 2.42 million, from SAR 2.13 million.

The stocks of Abo Moati for Bookstores, and Al-Samaani Factory for Metal Industries increased 4.2%, and 2.5%, respectively, whereas Development Works Food’s stock dropped 4.4%, and Al-Kathiri Holding Company’s stock fell 3.6%.

Raydan Co’s stock led Nomu in terms of trading volume after 67,370 shares were exchanged, with a turnover of SAR 1.05 million.
