TASI down, Nomu up at Tuesday’s open

Riyadh – Mubasher: The main index of the Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) decreased 0.85% or 63.68 points, reaching 7,429.77 points in Tuesday’s early trades.

By 10:58 am Saudi time, trading volume reached 26.78 million shares, through 18,120 transactions, at a value of SAR 596.16 million.

The banks, food and beverages, utilities, telecommunication services, and materials sectors fell 1.7%, 1.14%, 1.1%, 0.7%, and 0.24%, respectively.

On the other hand, the media sector increased 3.8%, followed by the real estate investment traded funds (REITs) sector with 2.2%, and the transportation sector with 0.8%.

The National Commercial Bank’s (NCB) stock led losers with 3.1%, whereas the Saudi Indian Company for Cooperative Insurance (Wafa Insurance) levelled up 5.1%.

Meanwhile, the Nomu-Parallel Market index grew 0.99% or 36.75 points, reaching 3,734.60 points.

Raydan Co’s stock was the best performer with 2.7%, whereas Abo Moati for Bookstores’ stock declined 3.9%.
