Riyadh - Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) ended Tuesday’s trading session in red, as negative performance dominated the market sectors, after seeing some marginal gains on Monday’s session.
The Tadawul All Shares Index (TASI) lost 0.37% or 25.81 points, and closed at the level of 7,036.36, successfully maintaining its level above 7,000 points.
Traded values decreased to SAR 2.58 billion ($686.7 million) down from SAR 2.8 billion ($750 million) in last session.
Volumes also declined to 110 million shares compared to 122.74 million shares on Monday.
The telecom sector saw the biggest losses, declining 2.66%, as STC and Mobily lost 3.87% and 1.49%, closing at SAR 68.25 and 21.75 respectively.
The materials sector fell 0.61% as SABIC fell went down by 0.48% to SAR 101.25, while SAFCO added 2.2% and closed at SAR 68.75.
The banks sector slipped 0.07%, as NCB lost 0.57%, while Al-Rajhi gained 0.71%.
National Agricultural Development (NADEC) led the session’s gainers and surged 8.45%, while Eastern Province Cement (EPCCO) was the biggest loser and dropped 7.41%.
Alinma was the most active in traded volumes with 18.1 million shares, while SABIC registered the biggest turnover at SAR 299.4 million.
