Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) started Wednesday in the red after its main Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) fell 21.70 points, or 0.26%, to 8,434.52 points.
By 10:45 am Saudi time, TASI’s traded volume hit 17.37 million shares exchanged through 15,660 transactions at a turnover of SAR 335.75 million.
The healthcare sector led losers with 0.6%, followed by the consumer durables and apparel sector with 0.5%.
The food and staples retailing sector shed 0.4%, while the banking and materials sectors levelled down 0.35%, each.
On the other hand, the media and telecommunication services sectors went up 0.37%, and 0.2%, respectively.
The Saudi Cable Company’s stock was the worst performer with 3.2%, while the stock of Leejam Sports Company “Fitness Time” was the best performer with 4.6%.
Meanwhile, NOMU, the benchmark index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, rose 2.98 points, or 0.08%, to 3,517.40 points.
Abdullah Saad Mohamed Abo Moati for Bookstores Company’s stock led gainers with 0.58%, while Raydan Co’s stock levelled down 0.24%.
