TASI drops 28 pts, Nomu rises at Sunday’s close

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) closed Sunday in the red after its benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) retreated 0.39%, or 28.25 points, reaching 7,181.46 points.

TASI’s trading volume stood at 150.4 million shares on Sunday, against 167.96 million shares on Thursday, while traded value decreased to SAR 3 billion ($801.3 million), from SAR 3.46 billion ($923.2 million) in the previous session.

The utilities, capital goods, telecommunications services, banks, and materials sectors levelled down 2.66%, 0.8%, 0.66%, 0.36%, and 0.36%, respectively.

On the other hand, the insurance sector inched up 0.8% and pharmaceuticals sector edged up 0.68%.

Tihama Advertising and Public Relations’ stock led TASI's losers after falling 4.81% to SAR 46.75, whereas the Saudi Indian Company for Cooperative Insurance’s (Wafa Insurance) stock was the best performer with 9.95%, reaching SAR 21.

In the meantime, NOMU, the main index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, grew 0.24% or 7.49 points to 3,109.37 points.

Al-Kathiri Holding Company’s stock increased 4.17% to SAR 20, whereas the stock of Al-Samaani Factory for Metal Industries tumbled 3.28%, closing at SAR 53.
