Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) closed Monday in the red after its benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) retreated 0.6%, or 44.28 points, to 7,100.46 points.
TASI’s trading volume stood at 305.14 million shares on Monday, against 330.89 million shares on Sunday, while liquidity decreased to SAR 4.8 billion, from SAR 5.2 billion.
The real estate management and development sector dropped 3.4%, followed by real estate investment traded funds (REITs) with 1.2%, retailing with 1%, materials with 0.8%, telecommunication services with 0.7%, and banks with 0.01%.
The utilities sector levelled up 3.1%, and commercial and professional services increased 0.3%.
Dar Al Arkan Real Estate Development’s stock led losers after falling 9.9%, whereas Al Jouf Cement’s stock grew 5.9%.
Dar Al Arkan Real Estate Development’s stock topped TASI in terms of trading volume after 80.9 million shares were exchanged, with a turnover of SAR 1.1 billion, closing Monday at SAR 12.60.
In the meantime, NOMU, the main index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, gained 0.18%, or 5.42 points, to 2,983.93 points.
On Monday, Nomu’s trading volume reached 87,490 shares against 251,810 shares on Sunday, while liquidity tumbled to SAR 1.46 million, from SAR 5.06 million.
The stocks of Raydan Co, and Al-Omran Industrial Trading gained 1.4%, and 1.1%, respectively, whereas Abo Moati for Bookstores’ stock lost 2.8%.
Al-Kathiri Holding Company’s stock topped Nomu in terms of trading volume after 41,090 shares were exchanged, generating SAR 766,890, closing Monday at SAR 18.02.
