TASI drops 61 pts at Sunday’s close

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) closed Sunday’s trading session in the red territory after its benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) fell by 61.49 points, or 0.7%, to close at 8,647.17 points.

TASI’s turnover retreated to SAR 2.47 billion on Sunday, compared to SAR 2.77 billion in the previous session after the trading volume shrank to 115.43 million shares from 118.73 million on Thursday.

The insurance sector slid 1.1%, while the media and basic materials sectors fell 1.36% and 1.3%, respectively.

Saudi Kayan Petrochemical’s stock led decliners with 4.6%, whereas the stock of Wafrah for Industry and Development topped gainers and advanced 9.9%.

Al Rajhi Bank’s stock led the main market in terms of liquidity with SAR 247.34 million, while Saudi Kayan Petrochemical’s stock registered the highest traded volume of 14.9 million shares.

Meanwhile, the main index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, NOMU, continued its losses for the third straight session after sliding 106.31 points, or 2.9%, to close at 3,546.38 points.

Raydan’s stock was the most active stock in terms of traded value and volume after generating SAR 914,620 in liquidity through exchanging 61,040 shares.

In the meantime, Nomu Capped Index (NomuC) was stable in its first session, finishing at 3,614.51 points.
