Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) started Tuesday’s trading session in the red after its main Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) plunged 62.29 points, or 0.8%, to 7,702.22 points.
By 10:40 am Saudi time, TASI’s trading volume reached 27 million shares exchanged through 21,200 transactions at a turnover of SAR 596.8 million.
The materials, media, utilities, telecommunication services, and banking sectors levelled down 1.8%, 1.7%, 1.4%, 0.7%, and 0.15%, respectively.
On the other hand, the food and staples retailing sector inched up 0.3%.
Al Alamiya for Cooperative Insurance Company’s stock led losers with 4%, while National Agriculture Marketing Co’s (Thimar) stock topped risers with 7.2%.
Meanwhile, NOMU, the main index of the Nomu secondary market, rose 6.47 points, or 0.27%, to 2,382.96 points.
Abdullah Saad Mohamed Abo Moati for Bookstores Company’s stock grew 0.4%.
