Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange’s (Tadawul) benchmark index opened Tuesday at a slight decline, extending its losses for the fourth session in a row, as sectors varied in terms of performance. The Nomu parallel market index remained unchanged.
The Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) edged down 0.04% or 2.80 points to reach 7,197.63 points by 10:35 am Saudi time.
Turnover amounted to SAR 334.88 million, after 15.29 million shares changed hands through 10,836 transactions.
In the meantime, 12 sectors fell led by consumer services with 0.5%, followed by food production and energy with 0.4% and 0.36%, respectively, whereas on the positive side, six sectors grew, led by media with 5.9%.
As for TASI’s leading sectors, telecoms and banks shed 0.14% and 0.06%, respectively, whereas materials inched up 0.02%.
Meanwhile, the secondary market’s Nomu parallel market index remained unchanged at 3,655.37 points.
Three of its stocks were down, led by Baazeem with 1.9%, whereas Thob Al-Aseel surged 9.1% after posting positive results for the first 10 months of its fiscal year the day before.
