Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange’s (Tadawul) benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) closed Monday’s trading session slightly higher, after inching up 4.36 points, or 0.05%, to close at 8,055.24 points.
TASI’s turnover rose to SAR 2.75 billion on Monday from SAR 2.16 billion in the previous session, while the market’s traded volume fell to 104.478 million shares, compared to 110.92 million on Sunday.
Fawaz Abdulaziz Alhokair Co’s stock led the risers and advanced by 5.97%, while Saudi Arabia Refineries Co’s stock headed the fallers after sliding by 2.05%.
Meanwhile, the food and staples retailing sector topped the gainers with 2.82%, whereas the insurance sector led the decliners and dropped by 0.73%.
In addition, the telecommunications sector added 1.06% as Saudi Telecom Co’s stock increased by 1.36%.
Moreover, Al Rajhi Bank’s stock spearheaded TASI in terms of turnover with SAR 374.99 million, while Dar Alarkan Real Estate Development Co’s stock registered the highest trading volume of 11.26 million shares.
