TASI ends Wednesday in green, Nomu goes down

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) closed Wednesday’s session up after its benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) increased 0.33% or 23.66 points, reaching 7,201.21 points.

TASI’s trading volume stood at 238.23 million shares on Wednesday, against 187.78 million shares on Tuesday, while liquidity jumped to SAR 4.56 billion, from SAR 3.47 billion.

The utilities sector gained 3.6%, followed by consumer durables and apparel with 1.4%, telecommunication services with 0.6%, and materials with 0.5%.

On the flipside, the energy, healthcare equipment and services, transportation, and banks sectors decreased 0.4%, 0.37%, 0.36%, and 0.2%, respectively.

Saudi Re for Cooperative Reinsurance Co.’s stock rose 8.3%, whereas The Saudi Industrial Export Company’s (SIEC) stock fell 3.8%.

Dar Al Arkan Real Estate Development’s topped the bourse in terms of traded volume after 87.75 million shares were exchanged, generating SAR 1.28 billion to close Wednesday at SAR 14.76.

In the meantime, the main index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, NOMU tumbled 0.6% or 18.57 points, to 3,241.22 points.

Nomu’s trading volume amounted to 102,770 shares on Wednesday, against 598,030 on Tuesday, while traded value dropped to SAR 1.89 million, from SAR 11.33 million.

Development Works Food’s stock dropped 6.9%, followed by Baazeem Trading’s stock with 4.9%, and Raydan Co’s with 1.5%.
