TASI ends week in green, NOMU loses 89 points

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) ended the week on Thursday, 14 September, with its Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) rising 0.17% or 12.56 points to 7,373.17 points.

The market capitalisation rose 0.04% or SAR 62 million to SAR 1.739 trillion ($464 billion).

On a weekly basis, the daily average traded value increased 45.7% to SAR 3.1 billion ($828 million) as compared to SAR 2.1 billion ($569 million) the week before, while the daily average trading volume hiked 43% to 129.8 million shares from 90.5 million shares.

The investment and finance sector topped the eight gainers, with 2.4%, followed by the insurance with 1.95%.

On the other hand, the food production sector led the 12 losing sectors with 6.2%, followed by the media sector with 3.03%.

Major sectors rose, topped by the materials with 1.5%, followed by the banks with 1.15%, while telecommunications dropped 2.28%.

On another note, the benchmark index (NOMU) of the Nomu-Parallel Market declined 2.55% or 88.7 points, closing at the level of 3,392.6 points.

NOMU traded value grew to SAR 11.4 million from SAR 1.5 million the week before.
