Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) has started Thursday's trading session in red territory after its main Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) fell 8.15 points, or 0.1%, to 8,158.15 points despite the bourse's inclusion in the MSCI Emerging Markets (EM) Index.
By 10:45 am Saudi time, TASI’s trading volume reached 16.5 million shares exchanged through 12,560 transactions with a turnover of SAR 447.64 million.
The healthcare sector dropped1.2%, while the materials sector inched down 0.4%.
On the other hand, the food and staples retailing sector rose 0.7%, while the media sector edged up 0.5%.
Mouwasat Medical Services’ stock led losers with 3.2%, whereas Saudi Indian Company for Cooperative Insurance’s (Wafa Insurance) stock was the best performer with 3.9%.
Meanwhile, the benchmark index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, NOMU, remained unchanged at 3,110.97 points.
