Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) closed the week which ended on Thursday, 27 December in the red after its benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) inched down 0.05%, to 7,749.32 points, from 7,753.36 points in the week before.
TASI’s market capitalisation value decreased by SAR 8.802 billion ($2.347 billion), while trading value slumped 19.3% to SAR 12.266 billion, from SAR 15.206 billion in a week.
On a weekly basis, the average of trading value declined to SAR 2.45 billion, from SAR 3.04 billion, while traded volume levelled down 20%, reaching 515.414 million shares, compared to 644.99 million shares.
The banks sector led gainers with 1.7%, followed by the retailing sector with 1.3%, and the energy sector rose 1%.
On the flipside, the commercial and professional services sector went down 3.6%, followed by the materials sector with 2.8%, and the media slid 1.6%.
