TASI falls 21 pts, Nomu rises 23 pts at Monday’s close

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) closed Monday in the red after its benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) levelled down 0.28% or 20.94 points to 7,587.39 points.

TASI’s traded volume stood at 228.68 million shares on Monday, against 174.13 million on Sunday, while liquidity increased to SAR 4.56 billion ($1.2 billion), from SAR 3.95 billion ($1.05 billion).

The media sector tumbled 4.16%, followed by banks with 0.41%, and materials with 0.06%.

On the other hand, the energy sector went up 2.45%, while telecommunications services grew 1.14%.

The Mediterranean and Gulf Insurance and Reinsurance Group’s (Medgulf) stock was TASI’s top decliner after falling 9.42% to SAR 20.20, whereas Rabigh Refining and Petrochemical’s (Petro Rabigh) stock was the most active after jumping 9.94% to SAR 22.02.

In the meantime, the main index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, NOMU, rose 0.76% or 23.15 points, to 3,086.07 points.

Al-Kathiri Holding Company’s topped Nomu’s gainers with 19.55% to close at SAR 26.30, whereas Baazeem Trading’s stock inched down 0.37% to SAR 26.90 and Development Works Food edged down 0.22% to SAR 67.
