Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange’s (Tadawul) main Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) fell by 25.06 points, or 0.27%, to close at 9,336.90 points on Thursday.
TASI’s liquidity rose to SAR 3.39 billion on Thursday, compared to SAR 3.12 billion in the previous session, while the market’s traded volume retreated to 139.85 million shares from 143.16 million on Wednesday.
The food production sector headed the decliners after sliding 1.3%, while the utilities sector and the software and services sector decreased by 1.28% and 1.2%, respectively.
Meanwhile, the basic materials and banking sectors dropped by 0.6% and 0.06%, respectively.
On the other hand, the commercial services sector topped the risers and added 1.2%, while the transportation sector went up 0.7%.
Saudi Company for Hardware’s (SACO) stock led the fallers with 5.5%, while MetLife’s stock was the top gainer after advancing by 7.4%.
Al Rajhi Bank’s stock led TASI in terms of turnover with SAR 328.57 million, while Al Jouf Cement’s stock registered the highest trading volume of 7.2 million shares.
Meanwhile, NOMU, the benchmark index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, fell by 5.29 points, or 0.15%, to finish the session at 3,609.13 points.
Baazeem Trading Co’s stock was Nomu’s worst performer with 1.3%.
