Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) started Wednesday’s trading session in the red after its benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) retreated 45.68 points, or 0.6%, to 7,897.71 points.
By 10:42 am Saudi time, TASI’s trading volume reached 24.26 million shares exchanged through 21,400 transactions, with liquidity of SAR 584.46 million.
The materials sector led losers with 1.2% as the Saudi Basic Industries Corporation’s (SABIC) stock fell 2.1%, followed by the energy sector with 1.1%, while the commercial and professional services sector shed 0.95%.
On the other hand, the media sector rose 1.6% after Tihama Advertising and Public Relations’ stock went up 2.5%, while the food and staples retailing sector inched up 0.5%, and the consumer services sector increased 0.2%.
Meanwhile, the main index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, NOMU, surged 52.93 points, or 2.1%, to 2,542.38 points.
Baazeem Trading Co and Raydan Co stocks’ grew 3.5%, and 0.4%, respectively.
