TASI falls for 3rd straight day, Nomu sheds 7.81 pts Monday

Riyadh - Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) closed Monday in the red for the third session in a row pushed down by its blue-chip stocks, while NOMU, the main index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, fell back after a two-day rise.

The benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) retreated 0.49%, or 35.09 points, to 7,146.37 points.

By the end of Monday’s trades, Nomu went down 0.25%, or 7.81 points, to 3,101.56 points.

TASI’s traded value increased to SAR 3.1 billion ($825.6 million) on Monday, from SAR 3 billion ($801.3 million) in the previous session, while trading volume stood at 166.3 million shares against 150.4 million shares in the previous session.

The utilities sector topped TASI losers by 4.32%, while the health care sector fell 1.37%.

The materials sector topped the declining blue chips shedding 0.69%. Telecommunications and banking sectors sank 0.27% and 0.25%, respectively. On the other hand,

The real estate funds sector spearheaded five risers adding 2.31% , followed by the commercial and professional services sector which soared 1.55%.

Al JOUF led TASI's losers after falling 5.35% to SAR 27.6, whereas the Al Andalus topped the rising stocks closing 3.50% up to SAR 20.98.

Similarly, Raydan Company led NOMU’s losers sliding 4.62% to SAR 16.50.

Arab Sea Information System soared 12.74% to SAR 12.48, while Abdulla Saad Abo Moati for Bookstore Company rose 2.06% to SAR 12.40.
