Riyadh-Mubasher: Tadawul All-Share Index (TASI) rose 2.9% or 180 points to close Sunday at the 6,396 level, its highest in 28 sessions.
The bourse was fuelled by a rise in oil prices at the end of last week, said Ahmed Al-Fayez, technical analyst.
He added that that market would see profit-taking on lack of confidence, noting that the 6,400 represents a technical resistance barrier for the index this week.
Sectors rose across the board, topped by the agriculture and petrochemical industries which added 3.8% and 3.7%, respectively.
Wrapping up stock performance, gainers outperformed losers. Buruj was the top gainer, soaring 9.85%. Meanwhile, Ace was the big drag, falling 0.49%.
