TASI goes up 82 pts, market cap adds SAR 14.4bn in week

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) ended the week on Thursday, 7 December in the green zone after its benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) jumped 1.16% or 81.5 points, reaching 7,085.5 points.

TASI’s market capitalisation value increased 0.87% or SAR 14.38 billion ($3.8 billion), to SAR 1.67 billion by the end of the week.

On a weekly basis, TASI’s trading value levelled up 25.3%, reaching SAR 21.3 billion ($5.7 billion).

The bourse’s traded value average went up 25.3%, to SAR 4.3 billion ($1.1 billion) by the end of Thursday, 7 December.

TASI’s trading volume average grew 43.8%, reaching 256.7 million shares on a weekly basis.

The media, real estate management and development, telecommunication services, and materials sectors rose 10.4%, 8.4%, 2.7%, and 0.74%, respectively.

On the flipside, the food and beverages sector decreased 1.3%, followed by food and staples retailing with 0.5%, and banks with 0.14%.

Meanwhile, NOMU, the main index of the Nomu-Parallel Market jumped 1.6% or 46 points, to 2,979.8 points.

Nomu’s traded volume reached 257,000 shares on Thursday, 7 December, against 458,000 shares in the previous week, while liquidity tumbled to SAR 5.2 million, from SAR 7.3 million.
