Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange’s (Tadawul) benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) closed Thursday, the last session in the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, on a positive note.
TASI rose by 102.6 points, or 1.22%, to finish the session at 8,516.48 points.
The basic materials sector led risers after adding 1.68%, while the telecommunications and banking sectors grew by 1.46% and 1.15%, respectively.
On the other hand, the luxury goods sector fell by 0.21%.
TASI’s turnover shrank to SAR 2.72 billion on Thursday, compared to SAR 3.21 billion in the previous session, while the market’s traded volume declined to 95 million shares from 114.84 million on Wednesday.
