Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) started Thursday in the green after its benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) rose 5.20 points, or 0.06%, to 8,771.53 points.
By 10:40 am Saudi time, TASI’s traded volume hit 22.59 million shares exchanged through 18,880 transactions at a turnover of SAR 647.35 million.
The telecommunication services sector led gainers with 0.69%, followed by the food and staples retailing sector with 0.6%.
The materials sector inched up 0.5% after the Saudi Basic Industries Corp’s (SABIC) stock grew 1.4%.
On the other hand, the retailing sector was the worst performer with 0.9%, while the consumer durables and apparel sector lost 0.8%.
Alkhabeer REIT Fund’s stock was the best performer with 5.2%, while the stock of Al Abdullatif Industrial Investment Company led losers with 2.6%.
Meanwhile, NOMU, the main index of the Nomu-Parallel market, tumbled 3.46 points, or 0.10%, reaching 3,626.65 points.
Development Works Food Co’s (DWF) stock slid 5%.
