Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange’s (Tadawul) benchmark Tadawul All-Share Index (TASI) jumped by 992.71 points, or 12.68%, quarter-on-quarter to 8,819.44 points during the second quarter of 2019, compared to 7,826.73 points.
TASI’s turnover stood at SAR 176.96 billion after 7.676 billion shares were exchanged through 6.497 million transactions during the three-month period ended 30 June.
Over the course of the previous quarter, Seera Group Holding’s stock topped the gainers and surged by 42.5%, while Saudi Enaya Cooperative Insurance Co’s stock headed the fallers and slid by 36.16%.
Meanwhile, Dar Alarkan Real Estate Development’s stock spearheaded TASI in terms of traded volume with 596.8 million shares, whereas Al Rajhi Bank’s stock registered the highest trading value of SAR 18.04 billion.
The basic materials, banking, and telecommunications sectors added 27.17%, 24.51%, and 5.27%, respectively, during the three-month period ended 30 June.
Market capitalisation fell by SAR 5.94 billion ($1.58 billion), or 0.28%, during Q2-19.
During the first half of 2019, TASI grew by 995.03 points, or 12.71%, to close at 8,821.76 points, compared to 7,826.73 points at the end of 2018.
