TASI hits 13-session high, Nomu near stable Monday

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) ended Monday in the green after its main Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) surged 63.22 points, or 0.8%, to 7,560.13 points, registering its highest level in 13 sessions.

TASI’s traded volume reached 120.75 million shares, down from 142.75 million on Sunday, while trading volume fell to SAR 2.78 billion, from SAR 3.01 billion.

The retailing, banking, telecommunication services, and materials sectors levelled up 1.95%, 1.4%, 0.7%, and 0.4%, respectively.

On the flipside, the capital goods sector decreased 1.4%, while the consumer durables and apparel sector inched down 0.8%.

Saudi Fisheries Company’s (Alasmak) stock was the best performer after growing 10%, whereas the worst performer was the Saudi Industrial Export Company’s (SIEC) stock after dropping 9.95%.

The Saudi Basic Industries Corporation’s (SABIC) stock generated the highest liquidity with SAR 467.72 million, while the stock of Dar Alarkan Real Estate Development Co led the main market in terms of trading volume after 13.94 million shares were exchanged.

In the meantime, the benchmark index of the Nomu secondary market, NOMU, went up 2.94 points, or 0.12%, to close at 2,429.15 points.

Nomu’s liquidity slumped to SAR 278,260, from SAR 550,800, while traded volume fell to 15,620 shares, against 34,950 in the previous session.

Al Omran Industrial and Trading Company’s stock topped Nomu’s gainers with 1.3%, whereas Raydan Co’s stock edged down 0.06%.

Development Works Food Co’s (DWF) stock posted the highest liquidity in the secondary market with SAR 91,820, while Arab Sea Information System Co’s stock led in terms of traded volume after 5,650 shares were exchanged.
