Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) closed Thursday in the red after its benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) fell 7.64 points, or 0.1%, to 7,411.16 points, registering its lowest level in 14 sessions or since 12 February.
TASI’s trading volume reached 168.77 million shares on Thursday, against 137 million on Wednesday, while liquidity soared to SAR 4.36 billion from SAR 3.24 billion.
The commercial and professional services sector declined 1.4%, followed by food and beverages with 0.9%, healthcare with 0.7%, telecommunication services with 0.3%, materials with 0.2%, and banks with 0.01%.
On the other hand, the food and staples retailing sector levelled up 2.1%, while the energy segment rose 1.7%.
Abdullah Abdul Mohsen Al-Khodari Sons Company’s stock was TASI’s worst performer falling 3.5%, whereas Saudi Arabia-based United Electronics Co.’s (eXtra) stock jumped 9.8%.
Al Inma Bank’s stock was the bourse’s most active after 48.88 million shares were changed hands, generating SAR 960.55 million.
In the meantime, the main index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, NOMU, inched up 0.78 points, or 0.02%, to 3,158.45 points.
Nomu’s traded volume stood at 43,700 shares on Thursday, against 186,300 shares on Wednesday, while trading value tumbled to SAR 1.73 million shares, from SAR 9.17 million.
Raydan Co’s stock went up 3.8%, whereas Al-Kathiri Holding Company’s stock fell 2.5%.
Thob Al-Aseel Company’s stock topped Nomu in termas of trading volume and value after 18,210 shares were exchanged, with a turnover of SAR 1.18 million.
