TASI hits 40-session high, Nomu sheds 28 pts at Sunday’s close

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) finished Sunday in green territory after its benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) surged 111.67 points, or 1.42%, to 7,978.83 points, registering its highest growth in 40 sessions or since 24 June.

TASI’s trading volume stood at 74.68 million shares by the end of Sunday, against 92.4 million in the last session before Eid al-Adha holiday, while traded value fell to SAR 1.8 billion ($476 million), from SAR 2.55 billion ($679 million).

The media, telecommunication services, banks, and materials sectors levelled up 3.08%, 2.83%, 1.59%, and 1.57%, respectively.

On the other hand, the healthcare equipment and services sector inched down 0.08%.

Al Baha Investment and Development’s stock was the best performer after jumping 9.97%, whereas the stock of Mouwasat Medical Services went down 3.75%.

Alinma Bank’s stock, up 1.01%, topped in terms of trading volume after 10.76 million shares were exchanged, generating a turnover of SAR 237 million.

In the meantime, the main index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, NOMU, tumbled 28 points, or 1.07%, to finish at 2,599.52 points.

Arab Sea Information System Co’s stock led losers after decreasing 5.16%, whereas Al Omran Industrial and Trading Company’s stock topped gainers with 3.52%.
