TASI hits 7M-high, Nomu near stable at Wednesday’s close

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange’s (Tadawul) main Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) finished Wednesday’s trading session higher, after rising 87.45 points, or 1%, to 8,766.33 points, its highest level since August 2018.

The main market’s liquidity increased to SAR 3.07 billion on Wednesday from SAR 3.03 billion in the previous session, while TASI’s traded volume retreated to 122.12 million shares, compared to 130.81 million on Tuesday.

The healthcare sector topped gainers and added 1.7%, while the media sector was the only decliner with 0.2%.

Alkhabeer REIT Fund’s stock led risers after advancing 5%, whereas the stock of Alinma Bank headed fallers after sliding 2.9%.

Al Rajhi Bank’s stock headed TASI in terms of liquidity with SAR 350.47 million, while Alinma Bank’s stock registered the highest trading volume of 10.64 million shares.

On the other hand, NOMU, the main index of the Nomu secondary market, inched down 0.12%, or 4.42 points, to close at 3,630.11 points.

Development Works Food’s stock was Nomu’s worst performer after declining 11.1%, while the stock of Abdullah Saad Mohammed Abo Moati for Bookstores was the best performer with 1.2%.

Similarly, the Nomu Capped Index (NomuC) fell 0.2%, or 7.78 points, to finish at 3,650.18 points.
